Leadership Bolivar is...
A unique leadership program tailored specifically for the Bolivar area to nurture present and future community leaders. This program will better acquaint you with your community and sharpen your leadership skills.

• Behind the scenes tour of Bolivar to acquaint you with your community
• Trip to Jefferson City to learn more about Missouri State government
• Learn from local, regional and state presenters.

Leadership Bolivar requires a serious commitment of time and energy.
The program begins in January and concludes in April.
Sessions are held weekly for approximately three hours in the evening.
One weekend retreat, a full day tour, and a half-day program are planned.

Leadership Bolivar participants are selected on the basis of written applications submitted to the Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce. The Leadership Committee reviews the applications and selects participants based on community involvement, candidate expectations, interest, and input from references. The class will be limited to 20 participants.

Leadership Bolivar uses the EXCEL program model developed in 1984 by the University of Missouri Outreach and Extension. Its success is proven thoughout many communities in Missouri. It is this same success Leadership Bolivar strives to duplicate.

Program tuition is $325
(Chamber members $300)
(a $50 discount is available for participants that register and pay in full by October 31st)
